Sellers in mainland China must buy cover through Amazon Insurance Accelerator

Breaks listings Upcoming 2026-11-02 US · CA

From 2 November, policies not bought through AIA are rejected on submission. Existing third-party policies stay valid until they expire, then must move to AIA.

What changed

Sellers located in mainland China must obtain insurance through the Amazon Insurance Accelerator programme. From 2026-11-02 Amazon will reject newly submitted policies that were not obtained through AIA. A valid third-party policy already submitted before that date can be used until it expires.

Who it catches

Sellers with a business entity in mainland China who are subject to Amazon's commercial liability insurance requirement.

What to do

If your policy renews after 2 November, start the AIA application now — underwriting takes weeks, and the deadline is not moved by a pending application.
