EUDR due diligence statements required for seven commodities

Breaks listings Upcoming 2026-12-30 EU

Cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood — plus derived products — need plot-level geolocation and a due diligence statement filed before the goods clear.

What changed

Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 requires operators placing cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood, and products derived from them, on the EU market to file a due diligence statement with precise plot geolocation. Large and medium operators: 2026-12-30. Micro and small enterprises: 2027-06-30. Geolocation must be GeoJSON in WGS-84 with at least six decimals; plots of four hectares or more require a polygon, smaller plots a single point.

Who it catches

Sellers and importers of any of the seven commodities or their derived products into the EU.

What to do

Collect plot geolocation from suppliers now, in GeoJSON WGS-84. A spreadsheet of addresses is not a substitute and will be rejected by TRACES on format grounds.
