Item highlights is a new field with a 125-character ceiling

Action needed In force 2026-07-27 US · CA · MX · BR · UK · DE · FR · IT

A field that did not exist before July. Empty on almost every listing, and the only place the words you removed from your title can legally go.

What changed

Amazon introduced the Item highlights attribute with a 125-character limit, including spaces. Combined with the 75-character title the total is 200 characters for describing the product.

Who it catches

Same scope as the title change: all product types except media, all stores except EG, SA, TR, AE.

What to do

Fill it. A listing that passes the 75-character title limit with an empty Item highlights field has thrown away 125 characters of searchable text.
