Product titles cut from 200 characters to 75

Breaks listings In force 2026-07-27 US · CA · MX · BR · UK · DE · FR · IT

The 200-character title is gone. You now get 75 characters for the title plus 125 for a new field called Item highlights — 200 in total across both.

What changed

Amazon lowered the title character limit from 200 to 75, including spaces, and introduced a new attribute called Item highlights with a 125-character limit, including spaces. The two fields together still give 200 characters. It applies to all product types except media, in every store except Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates.

Who it catches

Every seller with a listing on an affected store, except media product types and the four excluded stores.

What to do

Move the overflow from each title into Item highlights. Anything past 200 characters combined has to be deleted, not moved.
